Are Recurring Sore Throat, Earache And Bleeding Gums Suggestive Of Wisdom Tooth Eruption?

I am 25 years old and I keep getting a sore throat and glands, especially on a night time aswel as earache. I have noticed I have two holes at the back of my mouth either side and when I brush my teeth my gums can bleed quite a lot. Is this my wisdom teeth coming through?

Hello,

Wisdom teeth, as the last teeth to erupt in the mouth are the most likely to become impacted. They develop between the ages of 14 and 25, with 50% of root formation completed by age 16, and 95% of all teeth erupted by the age of 25, however, some tooth movement can continue beyond the age of 25. The given symptoms could be due to the issue, but you need to confirm from your dentist because there are many other possibilities.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. K. V. Anand, Psychologist
