Are Salt Capsules Advisable With 168/112 Bp?
Hello doctor,
my father's sodium was low and he was advised to take 8 salt capsules per day (2 nos. QID) while his BP was normal. However , he is BP patient too. today his BP is 168/112. is it advisable to continue with the salt capsules?

Hi,
With having this much blood pressure, taking salt capsules are not advisable.
Take low salt diet.
Go for regular blood pressure measure.
If requires your doctor will change the dose of BP medicine if it contains some diuretics.
Ok and take care.
