my boyfriends ex girlfriend is saying he has herpes. i am wondering if i have it or not. i am having vaginal odor and its been 3 days since we had sex and i have no blisters but i am scared. i have been getting scabs all over my body is that a sign of herpes
The symptoms of herpes are blisters anywhere in the body, irritability, pain and itching, sores, bleeding easily, jaundice, trouble breathing, swollen lymph nodes, fever, fatigue, etc. Infection commonly spreads due to having vaginal or anal sex without using barrier protection, such as a condom. Use of sex toys, etc.
You are suggested to avoid unprotected sex and multiple partners. Avoid oral/ anal sex. Get clinically examined by a gynecologist, get HSV testing done. HSV testing is usually done as a swab test, blood test, or lumbar puncture. Get treated at the earliest. Get your partner also treated.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
