Are Sensitive Skin, Dry And Inflamed Mouth Symptoms Of Crohn S Disease?

Hi, I have just been diagnosed with crohn s disease. I am 63 and a white female. New signs have shown up over the last week. Light sensitivity and pain full skin on my face and hands. Also my mouth is so dry and the gums are all inflamed. Are these a result of crohn s disease ? Thankyou, Anne

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Most of the symptoms of crohns disease are linked to the changes in the bowel.
This means that the symptoms of light sensitivity ,, gum symptoms and pain in the face and hands are not likely related.
Skin symptoms that may occur with crohns are pallor, jaundice, ulcers in the mouth, a skin disease called pyoderma gangrenosum

These new symptoms are related to other issues, you may want to see your doctor to determine the cause.

I hope this helps
