Are Severe Abdominal Pain And Gallbladder Attacks Signs Of Appendicitis?

Hi, I have really bad abdominal pain, mostly upper abdomen, and it reminds me of when I had gallbladder attacks, but I had my gallbladder removed last year. The pain started about an hour ago and I had a few bowel movements, not diarrhea but softish, and the pain is slowly abating. I assume it would be getting worse if it is appendicitis?

Hi,

You can have acute gastritis like stomach inflammation.

In case of appendicitis pain is in lower right abdomen and you feel tenderness when pressing over that area.

So the chance of appendicitis less. Take antacid to help in gastritis. If no improvement than USG abdomen scan should be done for further work up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
