Hi,

Based on the prescription details provided, the child has a small amount of nearsightedness (myopia) in both eyes, as indicated by the cylindrical power of -0.25 and -1.50. However, since the child is not experiencing any problems with vision, it may not be necessary for him to wear glasses.

If the child starts to experience difficulties with vision in the future, it would be worth considering glasses or other vision correction options. Additionally, nearsightedness can progress with age, so regular eye exams are recommended.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
