Hi,

Progestin long acting contraceptive is known to cause irregular /profuse uterine bleeding. But it is not concerned with bleeding through stools.

Such bleeding can be due to bleeding piles/intestinal inflammatory disease. Please consult your family physician to start with..after primary evaluation he would treat you OR send you to a surgeon /gastroenterologist as per need.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
