Are Strep Throat, Swollen Glands And Nasal Issues Caused By Tonsils?

My daughter is 16 years old and has been sick off and on for the last couple years. Strep throat, infections, constant swollen glands, shortness of breath, nasal issues, often times accompanied by fever, headaches. She hasn t had her tonsils removed and I m wondering if this maybe the reason.
