General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Psoriatic arthritis is a possible cause for joints in hands to be red, swollen and painful. There are also other causes such as rheumatoid arthritis.

You will need to have some blood tests for autoimmune diseases and also possibly and x-ray of the fingers (hand).

I hope I have answered your query and have been helpful to you.

I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj
