General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on the description, it appears that your husband could have developed 'postural oedema' due to continuous travelling. Following stretching of skin due to swelling, he could be experiencing symptoms such as tingling sensation.
There is no need to go to ER at this stage as there are no associated symptoms and it can be managed conservatively.
Since his blood pressure is high, it would be ideal to consult Physician promptly for the clinical assessment. All he might need at this stage is medications namely, antihypertensive to bring down his blood pressure and keep it under control and diuretics to decrease swelling.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
