Are Swollen Lymph Glands In Legs And Groin Due To Appendicitis?

I just had an appendectomy after waking up with severe pain in my stomach and violent vomiting. I am wondering if the appendix problem would explain sore and swollen lymph glands in my legs and groin for the past few weeks. Could the issue with the appendix cause the swollen lymph glands?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
Appendicitis is not associated with swollen lymph nodes in the legs and groin.
These lymph nodes are usually enlarged due to infection in the foot, leg or thigh. You are advised to get examined by your GP to find out the focus of the infection in the areas mentioned above and appropriate treatment be started. Hope this helps.
