Are Swollen, Warm Bumps From Bug Bites On Foot A Cause For Concern?

My boyfriend has a weird pattern of bug bites on his left foot. There are five little bumps in an arch shape; at first I thought it was a human bite because it s in that shape, but at closer examination it s bumps. We went hiking in the woods yesterday, but he was wearing boots and thick socks. It s also swollen and slightly warm to the touch. He woke up with it this morning and has had no other symptoms. Should we go to Urgent Care? Take Benadryl? It s the weirdest thing I ve ever seen.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that this local bumps might be due to some poisonous bite while going for hiking and one or more insects might have entered in the leg from shocks producing allergic reaction.
Take Benadryl or Cetrizine for 2-3 days.
Apply triple action cream or vaseline locally.
Ok and take care.
