Are Symptoms Of Various Muscle Strain A Cause For Concern?
I seem to get various muscle strain symptoms. Some are from seemingly innocuous activities. For example, last Saturday I did some light soccer referee activities for 4 hours with no issue. I was doing a light job back to the truck when my left calf had a sharp spasm. It has gotten better, but remains stiff and reminds me it is there when stretched. Is there cause for concern? Seems like the light jog should not have caused this.

Generally spasm and muscle strain happen when you over strain your muscle, this generally happens while overuse, or improper use of a muscle.
Because of this activity you might see limit movement within the affected muscle and this can treated with ice and yes, as you said light jog definitely would not have let this happen, so make sure a little warm up will be done before you play soccer, other than this I feel you are absolutely fine and no need to worry.
