Are Symptoms Such As Metallic Taste In Mouth And Tiredness Signs Of Concussion?
I was in a car accident a week ago. I overslept nd missed work today (slept 18 hrs) woke up feeling still sleepy and tired and with a metallic taste in my mouth. is that a sign of a concussion? my head hurts all the time but doctors at er didnt think i should be checked for a concussion
Metallic taste in the mouth and tiredness are not SPECIFIC symptoms of having a concussion though they can be found present who have suffered a concussion.
If you are certain that you struck your head against something in the car and immediately following the blow to the head you suffered any DISRUPTION or LAPSE in awareness or consciousness or if you are unable to recall good detail of what happened just before or after the accident then, you may wish to see a neurologist with concussion experience for a 2nd opinion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
