Hello! Over the past 3 days I have had a cramping feeling near my tailbone and periodic sharp pains deep in my sphincter. It used to hurt when bending forward, as if I were having muscle spasms inside. It has gotten better but wondering if this is something I should still see a doctor about.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
So far as symptoms narrated here, there can be possible
- constipation induced over stretching of anal sphincter
- compression of cauda equina from various issues of tail bone
- others
I recommend to put a close observation over the same with
- Preference of cushion support to sit.
- Avoid hard stools with high fiber diet and plenty liquids.
- Analgesic coverage for cramps relief.
Consult your family doctor as per the requirement and progress.
I would like to assist further at anytime.
Regards.
