Are The Acnes On The Chin Due To Antivert Tablet For Vertigo?

I have never had acne problems on my face, however, recently I have had a serious break out in my chin area and even on one side of my cheek. I had Vertgo about 2 weeks ago and perscribed antivert 12.5 mg. Would this be a side effect of this medication?

Hi,

Antivert is meclizine used for dizziness and vertigo. There are reports of acneiform eruptions caused by meclizine. I think, you may be having acneiform eruptions caused by meclizine. Avoid this drug after consulting your physician. For acneiform eruptions, take isotretinoin cap. 10 mg daily till you get improvement in acne lesions. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
