Are The Red Patches On My Shoulders Due To Rolling On Floor During Dance?
Today while I was in dance, I rolled over both my shoulders. Later, I realized that I had small patches of red dots all over my shoulder. They aren t itchy at all but I guess they could be from just rubbing against the floor so many times. What is it and how can I treat it?
The red patches as mentioned in your post can be due to rolling against the floor.Since they are asymptomatic, there is no need to worry as they will subside on their own in few days. However, if they still persist, it will be better to rule out other causes such as: 1. Viral exanthems 2. Urticaria 3. Ringworm (tinea) infection 4. Contact dermatitis
Under such circumstances, management will involve: 1. Application of Calamine lotion for symptomatic relief. 2. Intake of antihistamine preparations like Allegra 3. Application of topical steroid & antifungal ointment. 4. Antibiotics to prevent secondary bacterial infection.
Wishing you a good health. Take care.
