Are The Thyroid Test Results Suggestive Of Thyroid Problem?
My wife's thyroid test result shows serum t3 patient value: 1.30 reference value: 0.52-1.85, serum t4 patient value: 10.05 Reference value: 5.13 - 14.06, TSH patient value:4.83 reference value 0.40-4.20. She has Thyroid or not?, She not yet conceived whether she needs a treatment for Thyroid if it is?
Hi Her TSH is only slightly elevated and rest of the report is normal. So she is euthyroid so far (according to this report). She does not need treatment for thyroid imbalance. You can repeat the test after 6 months if you suspect any symptom like weight gain, neck swelling, irregular menstruation, low mood, cold or heat intolerance, palpitations, etc. For fertility problem, you need to consult a gynaecologist for detailed history & workup. Thank you for contacting healthcare magic.
