Are There Any Disadvantages Of Removing Adenoids In Long Run?
My 4yr old already went through two sets of tubes and after that had three ear infections. Doctor has recommended for third set of tubes along with surgery to remove adenoids. Are there any disadvantages of removing adenoids in long run? Also, what are implications of going for third sets of tubes in future?
adenoids usually will regress by age of 14 years . not to worry much about their removal. tubes in ears drain the middle ear secretions , they will assist in doing so when Eustachian tubes r blocked . if secretions r not drained there is a chance of getting middle ear infections easily. to keep the tubes intact u need to take care about upper respiratory tract infections
