Hello,
The following are the guidelines when the
combined oral contraceptive pill is missed:
If you have missed 1 pill anywhere in the pack or started a new pack 1 day late, you're still protected against
pregnancy.
You should:
1) Take the last pill you missed now, even if this means taking 2 pills in 1 day.
2) Carry on taking the rest of the pack as normal.
3) Take your 7-day pill-free break as normal, or if you're on an everyday (ED) pill, take your dummy (inactive) pills.
4) You do not need to use extra
contraception.
5) In your case, you have taken extra pill so you will be short of one pill in the future pack. But you should better not miss it and take one from your next month's pack.
6) Ask your pharmacist to refill your future pack with one extra pill.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
