Are There Any Home Remedies To Treat Nausea After Head Injury?
Yeasterday, I was pulled backwards by my dog on a leash I crashed into a stone wall hard-with my back---breathless, I slid down the wall on my seat with a thud, next my head snapped back and hit the wall hard. I had x-rays on my back and chest --no ribs broken. I also had cat scans oh my head... the doctors at the hospital --found all tests :-Clear- no visible problems. Today I am still queasy and jumpy .....What home treatment can I use for this nausea? No vomiting today or yesterday
Nausea after a concussion to brain is very common and it may persist up to 72 hours normally even without noticeable damage to brain or skull. In your case as every test is normal, you are only required to observe the symptoms for any vomiting, dizziness or unconsciousness. If such symptoms occur, you are advised to see your doctor, otherwise normally the symptom of nausea will go by itself without any special treatment. Just rest, proper diet and hydration should all be required.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
