Are There Any Side Effects From Dutamax Tablets?

I am getting treatment for my hair loss. My doctor has prescribed me a dandruff shampoo, a lotion to apply on scalp and dutamax tablets for three months. I just wanted to know is there any side effects of dutamax tablets ? Is it gonna to effect my sex life? I am 30 Years old and having this tablet once in a day. so far I have taken 40 tablets.

As per your query Dutamax contains Dutasteride which has adverse effects on males like Reduction in sexual desire(loss of libido) , difficulty in maintaining erection, and ejaculation problems.

It may also reduce the semen production during ejeculation..

It is mostly not indicated to be given in young males as it can effect their sex life..

I would suggest you to see your doctor and ask him about other treatment modalities and medicines to curb hair fall as the long term use of this medicine can be very harmful specially in men in child bearing age.

Few other ways of reducing hair fall can be taking foods rich in vitamin A,B and E and high protein diet.
Massaging scalp with essential oil.
Keep your hairs and scalp clean by washing them every alternate day with a mild shampoo..
Cut down on alcohol and smoking..
Reduce stress..
Keep yourself well hydrated and active..
