Are There Any Side Effects From Vagifem 25mg?
I am 50 years old and recently had Anterior and posterior vaginal compartment repair, stress incontinence (sling) Cystoscopy with urethroscopy and the doctor has put me on Vagifem (25 microgram) once a week. I am very concerned about the negative effects of this medication. Can I do without this medication.

This is Dr Amit. Vagifem contains estrogen which is used by women to help reduce vaginal symptoms of menopause (such as vaginal dryness/burning/itching).
Possible side effects are
Nausea/vomiting, bloating, diarrhea, breast tenderness, headache, or weight changes,chest pain or heavy feeling, pain spreading to the arm or shoulder, nausea, sweating, general ill feeling,sudden numbness or weakness, sudden severe headache, sudden vision changes, problems with speech or balance
