Masturbation is a harmless activity and it will not affect the sexual life in future.
However, excessive masturbation can cause physical fatigue, infection, inflammation, soreness etc of the penis.
In case any of these symptoms appear, it is advisable to stop masturbation for a while.
There is not set frequency of masturbation.
It depends from individual to individual.
