Are There Any Side Effects Of Cat Scan And Anesthesia To The Fetus?
hi i just had a surgery from kidney stone feb.1.they put me to sleep and the follwing day i have a cat scan.but before my surgery i check it first if im pregnant or not through pregnancy test and it came out negative becouse at that month january i dont have a period.after my surgery i check it again and it came out positive but me and my husband have no sex intercourse since my surgery untill now.im breastfeeding, i have a 6 1/2 months baby.may questions are what is the side effect of cat scan and general anesthesi to the fetus? is it possible that you missed your period while you are breastfeeeding?
YES, it is possible to miss your periods during pregnancy as breast feeding itself causes absence of periods and so you might miss a pregnancy.
If you are sure that you are pregnant then i will advise an abortion if you had a CAT scan and anesthesia as the risks to this fetus are high and also atleast 2 years gap between pregnancy is healthy for your body and to your present child.
