Are There Any Side Effects Of Taking Atrovastatin?
I am taking metformin tablet with Telsatran for BP and Mild diabetes in the morning with Ecosprin Escitaprolam Lonozepam Restyl and Atrovatatin for depression at night. Iam taking atrovastatin for the past 12 days and my stool is very smelly and unberable.Kindly explain my condition.

Hi , I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
Atorvastatin can cause predominently side effects like:
1. Liver dysfunction
2. Myalgia's
3. Vomitings , nausea , reaction can occur as with any medication.
If you have started the foul smelling stools after starting atorvastatin , you may stop it for a 2 days and check.
You must add a drug like Pantoprazole or Ranitidine to your prescription , since you are taking ecospirin and this can cause a lot of gastritis and such issues.
