Are There Any Side Effects Of Using Thyronorm?

Hi Doctor,am 37 years old,from past 4 years onwards am using Thyronorm 50mg,from one year am facing weakness in nervous,hair loss more,too much of pains in body,especially lower part becoming stiffness,made all tests,everything normal,some said due to thyroid and dosage?is it real,please suggest me?any side effects by using thyronorme?

Welcome and thank you for your question.
i can understnad your concerns.
Usually thyronorm is prescribed for a period up to 18 months. If the hyperthyrodism persists than a definite treatment is recommended, i.e:
-Thyroidectomy by surgery
-Radioactive iodine.
If you refuse both of the above solutions than you may remain under treatment with Thyronorm but you have to check the hormonal level reularly in order to prevent an over dosage or under dosage.
The symptoms you prescribe suggest for hypothyroidism but it must be confirmed bu checking TSH,FT4 and FT3 level.
Do not hesitate to attach the above results so i can give you a more specified answer.
