Are Uncontrolled Nose Bleeds Related To Melanomas On Skin?
have had several melanome removed from forehead and temples the past six years...and now again another melanoma to be removed next week in the identical spot as two other previous surgeries one inch above right eye.....FOR PAST SIX MONTHS ABOUT THREE TIMES A WEEK HAVE HAD VERY BAD NOSE BLEEDS.....JUST STARTS RUNNING FREELY FROM MY LEFT NISTRIL AS I SIT AT COMPUTER OR READING THE PAPER....I AM IN GREAT SHAPE, 63 YEARS OLD, ACTIVE, NO OTHER MALADIES....AND I TAKE NO DRUGS LEGAL OR ILLEGAL....IS THERE A POSSIBLE LINK BETWEEN NOSEBLEEDS UNCONTROLLED NOSEBLEEDS AND MELANOMAS???
Nosebleeds are common. Certainly overwhelming cancer often kills due to uncontrolled bleeding either by the cancer invading a blood vessel (and if the source of the bleed is visible, this can be directly evaluated) or by invading the liver BUT if the liver cannot make enough protein to prevent bleeding, nearly always there are A LOT of other very serious symptoms like turning green or bloating up or pain etc. Mostly it is just a nose bleed BUT 30 bucks of tests can say if there is a clotting problem and simply looking up the nose can often tell what is going on.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
