Lisinopril belongs to the group of antihypertensive medications known as angiotensin converting enzyme or ACEs that is used in the treatment of high blood pressure or hypertension and in the prevention of strokes, heart attacks as well as kidney problems by lowering high blood pressure. But like other medications this medication has some side effects of its own. It may cause tiredness, weakness, dizziness, fatigue, lightheadedness, headache, chest pain or tightness, muscle cramps or pain, nausea or vomiting and many more. These side effects are noticed especially, in the first few weeks of therapy and will probably improve in a few weeks. But if these side effects persist for long or bother you then you should consult your doctor first for medical help.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
