Are Weight Gain And Bloating Normal While Suffering From Colon Infection?

I have just had a colondectomy removal of part of my colon due to a perforation during a routine colonoscopy. I lost quite a lot of weight as I was in and out of icu. Yjey have now put me on Pentax s suppositorys as the small part they left behind flared up and I was bleeding. Bleeding has stopped but I m putti on weight fast and bloated is this normal
