Are White Bumps Appearing After Wisdom Tooth Removal A Cause For Concern?

I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed last Friday, January 15th. I have some white bumps by my stitches, one is large(lower left side) and one is smaller(lower right side). They don t hurt but are soft. Is this something I should be concerned about? Thanks for any help!

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that the white bumps at the suture site after wisdom tooth extraction seems to be due to formation of pustules secondary to infection..
It should be taken care of as it can cause spread of infection and delay the healing of the extraction site and can also cause pain flare-ups..
I would suggest you to consult your treating physician and get evaluated and in case of pustules he can advise you a course of antibiotics like Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen..
You can also be advised to do warm saline gargles and gargle with antiseptic mouthwash..
As of now you can start doing warm saline gargles..
Maintain a good oral hygiene and take a soft diet..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
