Are Yellow Spots On Tonsil And Whitish Tongue Symptoms Of Strep Throat?

Both of my children are positive for strep throat. I waited three days and went to have a rapid strep test done on myself because I am run down and my throat is a bit sore. That was yesterday and the rapid strep test came back negative but they send it away for a culture. Today when I look at my throat, there are some small yellow spot on my left tonsil and my tongue is a bit white. Is this a sign of strep?

No this doesn't tell anything about Strep infection. We have to clinically corelate the symptoms with the Culture and Sensitivity report and we may be able to say something with surelty.

Actually these spots on the tonsils and tongue color may also be due to dehydration only.

So I suggest you to wait for culture and sensitivity report and then consult back with the report. I will be more than bappy to assist you.
