Arm Pain, Starts At Shoulder. What Could This Be? Am Tired And Dizzy
Hi, This past few weeks I have had a dull ache in my right arm at different times through the day and night. It seems to start at the shoulder and come half way down my arm and gets more severe over a few minutes of it starting. It will then go like a dead sensation. What could this be? I am also very very tired and can get dizzy sometimes as well.
Dear Vmcguigan, hello
The symptoms which you have described can suggest towards cervical spondylosis. cervical pain is usually present in neck region and can be felt as headache or can radiate towards shoulder or arm. cervical spondylosis could also result in giddiness or feeling of dizzy.
Pain can be relieved by taking pain killers and muscle relaxant. But medicines cannot be taken for long duration. Best effective therapy is physiotherapy including some isometric exercise to strengthen your neck muscles. This takes some time but is effective. Also donot use thick pillow. Use a pillow but it should be soft and thin.
Thanks.
