Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
As a result of a medical accident I had a nearly 3 1/2 inch catheter broken off in my spine. The pain grew and eventually the catheter had to be removed via lamenectomy. About 5-6 months later I started to have nerve pain again down my sciatic from my butt to my feet. There has been no conclusive diagnosis and the MRI is not showing nerve impingement but I have chronic pain down the entire sciatic nerve on one side of my body. I am a head and neck cancer survivor and have a board for a neck because of fibrosis. It only makes sense that this nerve has succumbed to an epidural fibrosis. I have done everything from physical therapy, core training, accupuncture, massage and epidurals with radio frequency. I am an active person and would like to know if there is another way to get this properly diagnosed and if there are other alternatives to treatment.
