At which age should de-worming be started for toddlers? I have a kid of 15 mnths, should i start giving de-worming medicince now and how often should this be given?

Usually children above 1 year, deworming can be done. It is best you consult the Paediatrician before using any medicine as the dosage will depend on his/her body weight. It is best to avoid this unless there is failure to gain weight, disturbed stool production, worms in stool, pale skin. A Paediatrician should examine and then decide if deworming is necessary.

Deworming can be started from one year, u can give Albendazole 200mg stat, once in six months.

if you are suspecting your baby needs deworming he can be given syrup.
look out for signs like scratching of the anal region, anemia etc.
however i would advise you to consult your pediatrician before starting medications.
