Baby Having Rash On Butt,stomach, Face. Also, Having Hay Fever Symptoms. Suggestions?
Hi! My 15th month old has a rash that started on his butt. A little was on his stomach and now its also on his face. Been going on for about 5 days. I was thinking it was just possible heat rash from wearing warm weather clothes. Two days ago he also started to have something similar to hay fever . Very runny nose , watery eyes, now of course the drainage has caused a cough .

Well,from what history you give us , it sounds like your baby has some kind of a viral fever- fever, cough cold with a rash which started on the trunk. How is the baby otherwise- i mean the general condition of the baby-is he feeding as usual, is he happy or very irritable, is his urine output normal, does he cry while passing urine, vomiting, loose stools? He will need to have some anti-histaminics for his cold and cough and also for the rash. I would recommend you to see your pediatrician in case the rash and fever persist. The doctor can also see the rash and that will help him in the diagnosis. Continue to give your baby regular diet and plenty of fluids, that will help thin out the secretions and ease his cold.

Rashes,fever,runny nose,watery eyes and cough they are symptoms of viral illness and will take few days to settle.
I suggest you to ;
-give paracetamol for fever if it is above 100F,
-give benadryl as per dosage
-apply calamine lotion over rashes 2 to 3 times a day,
-Give plenty of fluids.
In case symptoms persist i advise you to get him examined by pediatrician.
