Hello and welcome to HCM.
Thank you for your query.
The presence of
WBC in your urine indicates an infection. Pain in the lower back region is also a symptom of an infection. Let me list some of the other common symptoms for you to relate to, they are:
-Burning sensation while urinating
-Frequent urination
-Increased urge to urinate, but less amount of urine passed
-Chills
-Fever
-Lower abdominal and/or flank region pain
-Itching around the genitals
-Blood in urine or immediately after (not always seen)
This will require treatment with antibiotics if the infection-causing organism is of bacterial origin, pain relieving medication and a urine alkalizer.
Although, I would also like to add, especially because the pain is on one side of the back; i.e. the right side. This is the location of your
kidney, and this could possibly mean your kidney is also involved, although we cannot confirm the same with further investigations. I would advise a KUB
ultrasound (kidney,
ureter, bladder) and a
blood test of your kidney function.
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-shoaib-khan/64581 . I would gladly help you.
Best wishes.
