Back Pain Stiffness, Had Physiotherapy, Severe Pain In Toes, Hip Bone.
hi dr i have back pain stiffness with the past year .I had physiotherapy which helped me to walk again but have severe pain in my toes and under my toes in the ball of my foot .I had 2 epiduraels which made no difference.I also can have pain in the front of my hip bones and stinging in my cocyx.I am waiting to see a specialist and taking lyricia which just takes the edge off the pain.I find it difficult to stand for long periods or sit then my mobility is very poor.
Epidural steroid injections work in alleviating the symptoms related to a disc compression with radiculopathy. Whereas in your case, pain in the toes and ball of foot along with coccydynia (pain in tip of coccyx) seems to be of a different pathology for which epidurals wont work.
I suggest you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for further workup and management.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
