Bad Smell From Nose After Septum Correction, Tonsillectomy, Uvullectomy. What Could Be Done?
I had a septum correction, tonsyllectomy and uvullectomy 5 weeks ago, after the 2 week my nose started smelling really bad, my ent doctor says that there is no infeccion and she doesnt know the cause of the bad odor. Its really annoying, I rinse 2 to 3 times a day wit the netty pot, but the smell persists. When my nose starts dripping and the smells gets worse. What can I do? Do I need a second opinion?
Bad smell is indicator of some infection probably inside of your nose/ nostril/sinuses or missed foreign body. So my openion is to rule out such reasons.
Investigations like Xray PNS View,Nasal endoscopy. Nasal discharge culture and sensittivity may be required to come out with some conclusion.
Hope the query is answered.
Thanks
