Battling Pneumonia, Diagnosed With Pleurisy, Have Persistent Nagging Upper Chest Pain. What Should Be Done?
Yes, I was battling pneumonia for about 2 months now, then it got serious that I have to be seen in the ER on Sat, then I go discharge because all the test came back normal and diagnosis with pleurisy . I still having the same problem; nagging upper left/neck chest pain . What can I do, I cant be taking pain killers all the time. How will it last?
If its only pleurisy, you need to take some antibiotics, sos Pain killers & YES "deep breathing exercises". Your neck pain is simply referred pain from your chest. Old healed Pneumonias can lead to some degree of pleural thickening and therefore this pleurisy.
