Bee Sting. Should I Meet A Doctor?

I was mowing the lawn and must have run over a bee hive in the ground? It was a couple of seconds before I realized what was happening and they were stinging me through heavy jeans and a short sleeved T-shirt. Bottom line, I've got ~20 stings. I haven't had a reaction before, but I've also never been stung like this. What are the signs I should go for urgent care?

Hello friend,
Thank you for posting your query through Healthcare magic.
Bee stings can make you sick in varying degrees depending on your sensitivity. Mostly they make some reactions on the skin that are mild and not so serious.
But some are very sensitive or hypersensitive to bee stings and can cause severe allergic symptoms in them.
The reaction also may vary according to the type of bees also.
The reaction of the same individual can be varying in different occasions.
Instant and sharp burning pain at the sting site, a red welt at the sting site, a small white spot where the skin is punctured, swelling around the sting area etc are some of the common symptoms produced by the bee sting.
Extreme redness and large swellings are found in few people.
Severe allergic reaction in some people that need urgent care include: skin reactions in other parts of skin other than the sting site, difficult breathing, swelling of tongue and throat, weak and rapid pulse, nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea, faintness, dizziness or unconsciousness etc.
Stings by about 20 bees are more likely to produce serious symptoms because of the accumulation of bee venom in your body. They are: nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, fever, headache, faintness, convulsions etc. This also may need an urgent medical care.
Hypersensitivity like any other allergic reaction is constitutional and so Homoeopathy is the best option not only to cure the present episode but also to prevent future reactions also.
There are 7 Homoeopathic remedies like apis, arnica, carbolic acid, ledum, tabaccum, urtica urens, viola odor. for curing and preventing bee sting reactions. Which medicine is suitable for which constitution is decided by an expert Homoeopathic physician.
Therefore approach an expert Homoeopathic physician at the earliest or get back to me with more details to help me to select your suitable remedy.
With Best Wishes,
