Been Having Vertigo, Dizziness, Nausea, Ringing In Ears, Damage Inner Ear, Balance Issues. Is It Due To Salt Intake?

3 months now I been having vertigo, dizziness, nausea, loud ringing in my ears. It is made worse with salt intake. I been to an ENT. He did a test told me it wasn't Menieres and sent me to PT, he said with exercises it will be all fixed. PT lady said yeah not so much. That my inner ear is weak due to damage and that damage will never heal. Instead PT will attempt to help me compensate and to ignore the imbalance issue.

She said I should do things in the doctor or be on uneven surfaces (stairs, ect). Which actually explains why I have such trouble with going down stairs now a days. And I can't do it if the lights aren't on anymore.

I went to the beach @ the lake today with hubby. And wading through the water, which was rippling from kids playing, I had a tough time balancing. I felt slightly vertigo and nausea. I had to hold onto my hubbys arm to get in and out of the water. Anything under waste high and I found myself difficult to balance.

I can also get car sick when it is at its worst.

Anyway, my question is this what about flying? Or 16 hour car drives by myself? I am supposed to fly home to Ohio come this November for my parents 60th anniversary. If I can't fly I thought about driving.

I am kinda of nervous about doing either.

And what about my salt intake? When I take in too little salt I get constipated. If I take enough to have my bowels move, then I get dizzy, vertigo, ringing and nausea.

Thanks for your direction.

The PT lady said she had no explanation for why the salt intake would effect me.

there is fluidinside the inner ear
labrynth is floating in endolymph and the balance is due to tactile cells in the inner ear
the balkance is maintained by electrolytes and salt is one of them as the electrolyte balance disturb due to salt level in fluid the cells damage causing problem
so salt is related to problem in this way
any disbalance like air preesue
can increase
need to control by physiotherapty and medicines to control symptomps if increases
