Being Myopic Can Continuous Computer Work Without Spectacles Affect Eyesight ?
4 and 1/2 hours of continuous work in front of computer? I am a myopic. Yesterday, I worked on the computer for nearly 4 and 1/2 hours without wearing my spectacles as I given it for repair. Can it affect my eye power or make me go blind?
Hi,
welcome to HCM.com
Working without spectacles if you are myopic can give you a bad headache from eye strain. It cannot make you blind from just one day of non use. Also, it depends on what power you have in your other eye. If your other eye has no power then it can cause amblyopia (blindness) or a squint but this will take a long time to occur. I recommend that you use your spectacles as soon as you get it back. And if you have to work long hours at the computer, take a break every 30minutes and look at something far away or out of the window for 2 minutes.
Hope this helped you.
Regards.
