Posted on Thu, 21 Sep 2017
Question: the eye doc says that nothing is wrong, but im still worried.
It´s like my left eye will only see out of the corner of my eye if i do not force it to look straight?
This is also the case when i cover my right eye??!
This is freaking me out!?

when im looking out of both eyes, it´s like the affected eye are "off"

I had an eye strain about 11 days ago though but that should not be the problem!?

Brief Answer:
squint with amblyopia with present age only cosmatic corection can be done

Detailed Answer:
You have got squint with amblyopia .When you forcibly focus in good eye the other eye is deviated to avoid diplopia. So you feel uncomfortable .With your age surgical correction will be cosmatic.Refraction should be done and correction taken for both the eyes and maintain visual acuity possible in each eye. Either eye can be of used. In case there is problem with one eye and you are in need of either eye.At the moment you can use one eye and the other eye is to be covered or fogged glass to be used. Using both eyes together will cause diplopia. But vision available in both eye is to be retained with macular stimulation. Eye strain is not related to present problem.Binocularity is already lost. Affected eye to be closed to avoid diplopia.

Brief Answer:
quality of vision and binocularity is lost.

Detailed Answer:
good vision and binocularity are different. you have lost binocularity there will not be depth perception. it is difficult to appreciate the difference. ask the doctor and go for test of binocularity. it is the quality of vision. driving will be difficult and you will be prone to accident.
