Being Treated For Sinus Infection. Throat Sore, Knot Close To My Adam's Apple, Trouble Swallowing.

I have been being treated for a sinus infection for about a little over a week now,10 days, with an antibiotic. On thursday my throat was a little sore, even to the touch on the outside. The next day I woke up with a knot close to my adams apple on the right side. If you push on it ,it is sore and feels like it pushes on to my throat. It is sore like a sore throat soar. What could this be?I have a little trouble swallowing also and a soar throat at times.

Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

Sore throat may be associated with sinusitis.

Complete course of antibiotics-analgesics has to be administered.

Warm compression at the site of sinus infection will relieve infection.

Avoid intake of cold fluids.

Gargle frequently with lukewarm saline.

Hope this helps.
