Besides Prednisone 5mg Suggest Medicine For Allergic And Itchy Spots
I had recently gone to the doctors for a case of itchy spots on my forearms and above my ankles. He decided on some sort of an allergic reaction to something and percribed me prednisone 5mg for 10days. It is the 10th day and I am starting to get new itchy spots on my arm, what should I do?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of allergic and itchy spots on forearms and above ankle which seems to be heat generation and due to frictional reaction. It could be due to hair follicle infection leading to folliculitis. Need not to worry.
I would suggest you to apply topical antibacterial ointment and wear loose clothes.
You should take course of oral antibiotics. Maintain complete hygiene and keep area little dry.
You should avoid touching these rashes with any sharp object.
Visit dermatologist once if symptoms keeps on persisting. Start treatment after complete examination and proper prescription.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
