Bitten By Dog, No Blood Or Fever. Dog Not Vaccinated. Given Anti Rabies Shot And Tetanus Shot. Worry?
My daughter got bitten a few days ago. It was a very small puncture wound similar to a pen prick, there was no blood flow. Washed the area with soap and water then got her 1st anti rabies shot and anti tetanus shot. The dog had no vaccinations, there were previous cases of people bitten but apparently the people bitten were ok even without antirabies shots taken. It was abt 4 days ago. My kid is ok. no fever, aches etc. the dog is also ok. Does she still have to get the 2 remaining shots?
hello dear, thanks for your query at HCM i under stand your concern about child rabies is one of the deadly disease in world , there is no treatment for that. only best way to control rabies is by vaccination. another 2 injection will keep your child away from that disease . dont avoid vaccination just by seeing dog is ok or small bite . get your child vaccinated as per schedule regards.
