As far as my understanding goes, 'Lichen amylodosis' is not a infective disease. It is caused by amyloid deposition in the skin. Since this is very rarely seen there is not one prescribed treatment protocol for this disease. But numerous data suggest that people have been treated successfully with different methods
The main stay of treatment is to prevent itching with antihistaminics and topical menthol. Other treatment modalities are
1. Dermabrasion
2. Topical DMSO
3. Retinoids
4. UVB phototherapy.
5. Co2 laser if it is a localised lesion

All the above procedures are done in india. Now each of the above procedure have some side effects. It is important that you weight the pro and cons and make a decision. The charges for the treatment varies from place to place.

It would be a good idea to start the treatment on a small area over the legs and see the outcome and then decide to go further.

Hope it helps,

Regard's
