Blacked Out After Head Injury, Stopped Bleeding, Sore Neck, Talking Normally. Cause Of Worry?

Hi, my husband just blacked out and hit his head behind his left ear on the toilet. It cut it , but the injury has stopped bleeding and is not gaping. He is talking and answering all questions, but neck is really sore and concerned about blackout, possibly caused by something he ate or drank last night. Should I seek a doctor?

The real cause of worry is that why he blacked out which needs to be thoroughly investigated. There are so many causes of sudden blackout that unless more information about the patient is not available it is not easy to pin point the diagnosis with the available data.
Some of the common causes of black out are Alcohol abuse, Cardiac Arrhythmia (Means irregular heartbeats) Sudden pain or emotional shock, Low blood sugar, people on severe dieting,Prolonged unaccustomed standing causing blood pooling.
I think that even if the bleeding has stopped you must seek medical advise as soon as possible to ascertain the appropriate management of the wound and the sore neck as well as to ascertain the
exact cause of black out.
