Bleeding After An Injury. Can I Acquire Hepatitis Or HIV?
Hello quick question can I catch anything if I poked my finger at work. While reaching inside a drawer with a white pin that goes with the security hard tag. i squeezed the little blood that came out and used a rubbing alcohol pad.I'm just concerned cause the guy that was on the register is gay and has a huge bump in his face the size of a golf ball. Just wondering since gay men are prone to hepatitis, hiv and other diseases. Not sure if he has anything or if he poked himself with a white pin but just want to get an answer.

No you are not at risk of these serious infections. You may possibly get some slight inflammation if the pin was dirty or dusty but you have taken adequate precautions and the wound should heal soon.
